PRODEXPO 2025: A TRADE SHOW FOR THE FOOD BUSINESS

Prodexpo 2025 is a major international exhibition for food, beverages and food raw materials. It has defined strategic development trends of the food sector of the Russian economy for the last 30 years. The show plays an important role in ensuring the country's food security and is a key platform for effective interaction between manufacturers and suppliers of food and beverages with buyers of federal and regional retail chains, independent retailers, cafes, restaurants, catering chains, corporate buyers, and government representatives.

We can assess the key results of the industry's development at Prodexpo, which is the largest exhibition for food and beverages in Russia and Eastern Europe. Every year the event allows to learn about new products on the market, exchange experience and find business partners. Russia's largest food trade show

According to the Russian National Exhibition Rating, Prodexpo is recognised as the largest exhibition in Russia in the Food Products category in the nominations of Exhibition Space, Professional Interest, International Recognition, and Market Coverage.

Prodexpo is traditionally characterised by its scale, variety of exhibits, and abundance of new products. And 2025 is no exception. Recognising the importance of high-quality business networking for the food industry, the exhibition organisers have maintained a full-fledged exposition reflecting all sectors of the food and beverage industry.

The show presents new products from Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. Russian manufacturers are certainly form the main backbone of the exposition.

Prodexpo 2025 will offer a wide range of products from basic everyday foods and drinks to exquisite delicacies, as well as halal, organic, sports, functional food, products for a healthy lifestyle, and exotic products.

Special feature of 2025: due to a shortage of exhibition space, this year the topics of packaging, equipment, ingredients, and tobacco will not be covered. It allows us to focus on food and beverages.

This year, Prodexpo welcomes 1,835 exhibitors from 36 countries: Russia, Afghanistan, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan,  Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Egypt, France, Georgia, Hungary, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, South Ossetia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, the UAE, Uzbekistan.

National pavilions will be arranged by 13 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, China, Hungary, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, South Ossetia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Turkiye, Uzbekistan.

This year, there will be 1,383 Russian exhibitors.  

Russian regional pavilions will be arranged by 39 regions of Russia: Astrakhan, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kirov, Kostroma, Kurgan, Kursk, Leningrad, Murmansk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novgorod, Ryazan, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Tula, Tver, Ulyanovsk, Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda, Voronezh, and Yaroslavl Oblasts; Donetsk, Udmurt Republics, Republics of Adygea, Chuvashia, Crimea, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kalmykia, Karelia, Mordovia, North Ossetia–Alania, and Tatarstan; Krasnodar, Primorsky and Stavropol Krais; Khanty-Mansi – Ugra Autonomous Okrug

KEY PRODUCT SECTORS

Meat and Meat Products. Cooked Meats. Poultry, Eggs (Pavilion No. 2, Hall 2)

More than 110 companies from Russia, Belarus, Brazil, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Serbia present chilled, frozen and ready-to-cook meat products from beef, pork, lamb, poultry (turkey, chicken, duck), as well as game, wild fish and seafood.  

The 2025 showcase will have new exhibitors, among which Russian producers predominate. It is noteworthy that new exhibitors mostly specialise in delicatessen and sausages, including Balakovsky MK with the Myasnoy Kharacter trademark (Saratov), Yeremino Pole (Shchelkovo, Moscow oblast), Dobrogost (Yekaterinburg), Stagionello with the Vishnevskiy gastronomic club trademark (Nizhny Novgorod), and Berdyanskiye Sausages.  Myasko (Astrakhan oblast) will offer chilled and frozen beef and lamb products, and Primyase (Moscow) will present Black Angus meats.

Dairy Products. Cheese and Ice-Cream (Forum Pavilion)

More than 160 companies from Russia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, and Turkiye present milk and sour-milk products, cheese, butter and spreads, curds, puddings, and condensed milk. There is no doubt, new exhibitors, such as Goncharovskoye (Safonovo farmstead of the Bolshakovs) that is a family company producing artisan cheeses according to original recipes, will also be of interest. A number of Russian producers participating for the first time will offer their own products: among them are Gran Re with parmesan, Rubiconcheese with a line of cheeses of its own trade mark DobroSyr, and Morava M (the Liebendorf trademark) with classic semi-hard, processed and curd cheeses prepared according to traditional recipes.

After a long break, such producers as RostAgroKomplex and Brasovsky Cheeses will present their products again.

There will be a great variety of ice-creams with a huge choice of flavours from classic to low-calorie and vegan. This year, Lugansk Khladokombinat will have the richest stand. The company makes more than 100 ice-cream items. Korean ice cream, popular among young people, has also become a regular at Prodexpo. Producers from Belarus and Kazakhstan prepared interesting offers.

Fish and Seafood (Pavilion No. 1)

The sector offers buyers a variety of chilled, salted, smoked and frozen fish; frozen shrimp, mussels, squid, octopus; surimi (crab sticks, meat, shrimp, crab claws); herring and herring preserves; seaweed salads; convenience foods (fish fingers, minced fish and fillet cakes, seafood and shrimp). Among the participants are Baltko (the VICI trademark), Norebo, Dalpromryba, and Rybny Dvor. Grain and pressed caviar of sturgeon fish and fish delicatessen will be offered by Raskat and Caspian Delicatessen (Astrakhan oblast). Canned fish will be presented by Za Rodina, Produkt Garant, Uniant, and Vladkon.

Vegetable Fats (Pavilion No. 1)

The sector presents sunflower, rapeseed, soya, corn, tropical and olive oils, as well as popular mixes: sunflower-corn oil, sunflower oil with the addition of olive oil, and sunflower oil with the addition of sesame oil. Among the participants are such companies as Efko-Kaskad (Belgorod oblast), Blago Group (St. Petersburg), Fats & Oils Integrated Works (Yekaterinburg), Cargill, SPP Yug Armavir, and Divo Altaya. The sector will also have new participants: Authentic Products will offer Greek farmer olive oil, Alora will present a premium line of vegetable oils, Tovarnoye Khozyaistvo (Saratov oblast) will present the Domashnee trademark, and Don-Resurs with the Zlatoyar trademark. Companies from China, Spain, and Turkiye will also present their products.

Confectionery. Bakery. Snacks. Nuts. Dried Fruit (Pavilion No. 2, Halls 2–6)

The largest sector of 2025 presents products of manufacturers from Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, China, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, the UAE, and Uzbekistan. The companies offer both traditional assortment and new products. As usual, the showcase will please everyone with its variety: there will be sugar and flour confectionery products, chocolate, and confectionery products for children. Snacks, nuts, dried fruits, and honey will also be well represented. Among the exhibitors are Pobeda, Akkond, Slavyanka-Torg, Ramensky Confectionery Plant, Orekhprom, Nevskiy Konditer, KBK Cheryomushki, Kommunarka, Hhlebny Spas, Semushka, Neva, Akulchev, and Orion International Euro.

Healthy Nutrition, Sport Nutrition and Functional Food (Marble Hall in Forum Pavilion, Pavilion No. 2, Hall 6)

These sectors present ready meals, functional, vitamin-enriched, low-calorie confectionery, sugar-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, with sugar substitutes (stevia and erythritol), protein-enriched, as well as bread, confectionery, sweets, flour and baking mixes, cereals for people with dietary restrictions for medical reasons. There will be a large selection of protein and fruit bars, superfoods, dietary supplements, chips and snacks made of vegetables, drinks: herbal teas, juices. Baby food will be presented by manufacturers from Russia and Belarus (the Babushkino Lukoshko and Toptyshka trademarks). Interesting new products are expected, including turmeric juice from India, and smoothies developed together with an Olympic champion.

Prodexpo Organic (Pavilion No. 2, Hall 5)  

Prodexpo Organic presents products from Russia, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Turkiye. The exhibitors include such companies as Arivera, Bio-Farm Petrovsky, Stashevskoe Bio, Spetsialist, COCOSLA (Bubalo sole proprietor), Griva, Gooddrinks, as well as new participants. The Ecoregion Trading House will introduce virgin olive oils and avocado oils produced by farms in Spain (the Organic Kingdom Oil trademark) to the Russian market. Organic tea will be presented by Hosta-Tea, one of the oldest tea-growing enterprise in Russia, the legal successor of the Verkhne-Khostinsky tea farm. Two companies from Turkiye, Ditco Food CO and Ecoloni Gida ve Ekolojik Urunler Sanaji ve Ticaret, will offer tomato paste, spices, and olive oil. Probios, a large Italian company, will offer gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free, egg-free, and sugar-free products. The Probios range includes pasta, spaghetti, cereals, flour, beverages, sauces, dried fruits, nuts, and desserts – 850 items in total.

Tea and Coffee (Pavilion No. 1, Upper Level)

The showcase is expected to be packed with new brands, companies and products. Sri Lanka is participating with a national pavilion. Manufacturers and distributors from Russia, Belarus, Brazil, China, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Turkiye, and the UAE are presenting their products. Among the participants are such companies as Orimi Trade, Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company, Vokrug Sveta, Lebo, and Milfoods.

Prodexpo Wine (Pavilions No. 2 and No. 8)

The geography of exhibited products is vast: there will be wines from Russia, Argentina, Armenia, Chile, Crimea, France, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, South Africa, and Spain. The show traditionally presents a variety of strong drinks: brandies from Russia, Armenia, armagnac from France, tequila from Mexico, vodka from Russia and Belgium, cachaça from Brazil, as well as rum, gin, whiskey, grappa, and chacha. The consumer's fascination with the Orient has not been left aside either. Buyers will find the whole range of traditional strong drinks: sake from Japan, soju from Korea and, of course, maotai from China.

Beer. Low Alcohol (Central and Centre-Forum Pavilions)  

More than 100 companies, both large enterprises from Russia and other countries and small private breweries, will show their products. The geography is interesting. There are even companies from Latin America. The Craft Beer Corner will bring together the most fashionable market trends. It will be located in Riverside Pavilion.

The Groceries. Cereals. Pasta. Spices, Kitchen Herbs, Juices, Mineral Water. Soft Drinks, Canned Food. Sauces, Ketchups, and Frozen Foods. Semi-Prepared Foods. Ready-to-Eat Foods sectors also offer a lot of products.   

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

The large-scale conference programme of Prodexpo 2025 is packed with events covering key aspects of the food business. The focus is on product quality and safety, marketing, sales, and working with retail chains. A large block of events is dedicated to analytics and technologies for working with retail (both offline and e-com), effective strategies for FMCG business, and PLB.
