03 / 02 / 2025

Prodexpo 2025, the international exhibition for food, beverages and food raw materials, has opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow. It is a key event for the food industry in Russia and Eastern Europe. This year the show welcomes 1,835 companies from 36 countries on the exhibition area of over 75,900 square metres.

Prodexpo is traditionally characterised by the scale and variety of products. It presents both basic foodstuffs and beverages and interesting new products, including gourmet delicacies, organic products, functional and sports nutrition. This year's main focus is on healthy lifestyle trends and sustainable production.

Regional and national pavilions occupy a special place. The exhibitors include 1,383 Russian companies from 39 regions of the country. National pavilions are arranged by 13 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, China, Hungary, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, South Korea, South Ossetia, Sri Lanka, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan.

The show is accompanied by a rich conference programme, which focuses on discussing strategies of interaction between manufacturers and retailers, product quality and safety issues, as well as market analytics. Key events include Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains™, Alcocongress, and different conferences on marketing and sales technologies.

At the official opening ceremony, Sergey Katyrin, President at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, emphasised that over the years Prodexpo had managed to create a platform of opportunities. It offers opportunities for those who are just starting a business, for those who came here for the first time with start-ups, for those who have already become a large company long ago. It is also an opportunity to join forces, and an opportunity to demonstrate their developments. Sergey Katyrin wished everyone to actively use them.

Nikolay Kharitonov, Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee on the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, noted that for many years Prodexpo had been an important event in the Russian food industry. The high level of companies represented at the exhibition, a rich conference programme and professional approach of the organisers provide a unique opportunity for an open dialogue between representatives of business, government agencies and all interested parties.

Sergey Mitin, First Deputy Chair at the Russian Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Nature Management, drew attention to the fact that the show opens at the beginning of the year. It is symbolic that the largest exhibition opens at this time, which is a kind of a development vector for a very important sector of our national economy, agriculture and food processing industry.

Maxim Protasov, Head at Roskachestvo – the Russian Quality System, defined Prodexpo as the main event of the food market of this country. He dwelt on product quality issues and invited everyone interested to a number of events organised by Roskachevo, which are held within the show's conference programme.

Maxim Fateev, Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, stressed that Prodexpo had long ago become not just an exhibition, but a food platform where contracts worth billions of roubles were concluded every day. More than 70 thousand buyers, representatives of retail, food companies, hoteliers, restaurateurs and so on are registered at the exhibition. They will conclude contracts, present here new technologies, new solutions, and create new cooperation ties.

The official opening ceremony of Prodexpo 2025 was attended by representatives of relevant ministries, heads of professional associations, and diplomatic representatives of foreign countries.

The show is open until 7 February.
