The best foodstuffs and beverages at Prodexpo 2024 received quality awards

The results of two prestigious professional competitions were summarised at the Prodexpo 2024 International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials.  

The winners of the 18th International Competition for the Best Consumer Properties, which is organised by Souzexpertiza ANO of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and EXPOCENTRE annually at Prodexpo, received their awards. The competition is designed to promote the competitiveness of Russian goods on domestic and foreign markets, as well as the promotion of high-quality products from other countries to the Russian consumer market. The high awards of the competition contribute to the popularisation of the best food products, as well as to spread information about them among consumers and potential customers.

The winners of the competition are awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees with a gold, silver or bronze medal ‘For Quality’ and the right to use the awarded products for advertising purposes. The names of the prize-winning products are entered into the special Register of Souzexpertiza ANO of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year, 78 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals were given. Among the recipients of awards were enterprises from Moscow and Moscow oblast, Belarus, Kabardino-Balkaria, Crimea, Chuvashia, the Republic of Sakha, Krasnoyarsk Krai,  and Leningrad, Vladimir, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Ulyanovsk, and Yaroslavl oblasts. The range of prize products is wide from dairy and bakery products, confectionery, sweets, ice cream to meat products, sauces, seafood preserves, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The winners of the Best Product 2024 International Competition, which is regularly held as part of Prodexpo, also received honourable mentions on the final day of the exhibition. It is organised by the EXPO ECO Expert Analytical Centre for Product Safety and Quality. The aim of the competition is to identify and promote high quality agrifood products on the Russian market, to promote the substitution of imported food, and to introduce methods of digital control of food quality and safety.  

The foodstuffs and beverages submitted to the competition were evaluated by the Competition Commission, which approved expert commissions consisting of specialists of food and food processing enterprises, branch institutes and unions, management bodies, testing centres and laboratories to conduct physical and chemical tests of samples.

At the ceremony, medals of different values and diplomas were awarded to the winners in such nominations as the Best Food Product and the Best Innovative Product in categories covering all segments of the food market.
