Presentation of nuts from Jalal-Abad Region took place at Prodexpo 2024

Within Prodexpo 2024, the international exhibition for food, beverages and food raw materials, there was a presentation of nuts and nut products from the region of Kyrgyzstan – Jalal-Abad oblast.

It was attended by representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian-Kyrgyz Business Council, the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, as well as the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.

During the Soviet Union, noted Vladimir Padalko, Vice President at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian republics provided the country with a very valuable product, because nuts are both culinary, production and health. Ermek Omuraliev, Counsellor for Trade and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation, confirmed his words, emphasising that nuts are an important element of the food industry and their scope of application is very wide. In addition, he mentioned that about nine more companies from Kyrgyzstan are taking part in Prodexpo 2024, selling other types of products, such as toyboss or manty.

Maadanbek Karaev, Director at the Jalal-Abad branch of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke about Arstanbap, a beautiful forest located in the south of Kyrgyzstan, where high quality organic nuts are extracted, which the guests could see at the stands.

In the final part of the presentation, Nikita Bantsekin, Deputy Director General at the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small Medium Enterprises, noted that Russia provides comfortable conditions for small and medium-sized Kyrgyz companies that have opened in Russia.
